We have scheduled our annual spring field maintenance day for the 29th of April at 10:00 am.  Please meet at the field and we will have most of the tools and supplies needed to get the jobs done. 

Bring some planes, helis, etc. for AFTER the work is done so we can do some playing!

Well on Saturday there was some good activity at the field as quite a few pilots were out enjoying the nice weather. Dan was out and was working on his heli and doing very well!  He had an impromptu auto due to the engine dying but other than that did a really great job.

Randy was also out flying his SPAD and was doing pretty good.  Just a program note not to let your brother from out of town ”take a couple of laps”… it didn’t end real well as seen in the photos - But hey its a SPAD and with a little rain gutter, some CA  and a few misc. items it will be back in full force.

Barry was also out and put a couple of flights on his Cadet and brought it down a little hard on the last flight and gave himself a nice opportunity to upgrade his motor mount! :^)

I was also out flying my 3D SPAD and my heli and had a blast!  Jarred showed up “for a little while” and I think ended up staying most of the day.  I wish we could have talked him in to going and getting his ’stuff’ cause he would have had plenty of time to get some flying in.

Peter showed up with his new Edge but I had to leave before he got it in the air on the maiden flight!

SAGE members,

Just a reminder that the monthly club meeting will be held this Thursday, April 13th at 7:30 at Hometown Hobbies located in the Prairie Hills Mall (across from the movie theater).

Also there are a few past members that have not paid their dues for 2006 and will need to settle up with one of the club officers ASAP. Also anyone who has received their new AMA card please bring that to the meeting as well so that we can have a copy on file for our charter commitment.

The main topics of discussion for this meeting will be our annual field maintenance (see agenda below). We will discuss possible changes to the layout to better accommodate parking especially addressing larger vehicles (i.e. campers) at our events and as our events grow.

Please plan on attending!
