Well the flying is finished for the evening and it wasn’t necessarily an evening without incident.  About 6:00 a very nice and much needed rain shower rolled though.  Ended up with about 1/2 an inch of rain in a half hour.   The temps dropped to about 60 so it was a little chilly but it certainly didn’t keep people out of the air.  They guys from Jamestown and Valley City put quite a few flights on and one ended a bit early for Mike with a stuck throttle.  I guess one way to stop that screeming engine is to put the nose into the ground… :^)  Probably not the preferred way but still quite effective and very impressive.

Kyle also was doing some high speed ‘top gun’ passes and ended up on the ground for a fairly nice landing but way too much speed and headed right into the catch fence.

There was a beautiful sunset to close things off for the night and the wind was a little high so we didn’t do any foamy flying….tomorrow! :^)
